阴阳—— Calligraphy in Space

Yin Yang movement gives shape to the twin sculpture. The figures inscribe their meaning in space following the fluid contours of traditional Chinese writing.

Material: Ceramic and Wood.

This is the recent sculpture I did in August of 2008 in Estonia. The work, now it's presented in Tartu for the scale-sculpture exhibition.

Praticare e parlare l'italiano

Un po' tempo fa, c'era un grande studio per me. Un bellissimo professore di musica e lingua parla con me. Abbiamo ci insegniamo le lingue nostri che quelli sono la lingua italiana e la lingua mandarina. Grazie per mi insegno l'italiano. Mi piacerebbe praticare piú e piú italiano. A causa di questa condizione, sento che non piú mi preoccupo parlare l'italiano e fare i errori. C'é un inizio bello.

Divorzio all'itaiana

Avevi tradito? Che cosa farai se la tua moglie non ti ha amato? C'è un film italiano che si chiama "Divorzio all'italiana". La storia non è solo una commedia all'italiana ma anche una rappresentazione della società del 1960. Il protagonista principale - Fefè che era un barone povero. A lui non è piaciuta sua moglie grassa però è piaciuta Angila. Ma non poteva divorziare da lei perchè non c'era la legge. Dunque Fefè aveva ingannato sua moglie da amara Carmelino. Allora, aveva ucciso la moglie sua e ha sposato Angila. Ma il destino stesso si ripeterà.

Insegnare il calligraphy cinese a Talinn

The first lesson i gave, which is about Chinese calligraphy, in Tallinn. It just finished few hours ago. Face to different students, it was very interesting thing. But, in a way, it also hard to explain something to them. To be a teacher is not easy. Especially, to teach the foreign culture and to  introduce the totally different background. But, I will do the best. Also, after the first lesson, I can feel that the students are enjoy the different materials and so on.
To be honestly, it's also tired to speak a lot on the lesson. At the moment, i don't want to say anything. but, I'm happy.

The Fire Sculpture

Finally, the project of fire sculpture is done. The opening was hold at 17.00 yesterday. This time, I was as a leader, even I don't want to be. Unfortunately, our teacher left several times.
But, it's fine that I learned a lot during this periods. It's similar as the fire burning....... slowly, slowly.... then grow up..... stronger, stronger...

The Funny Opening of Light Festival WITHOUT LIGHT

Start to feel disappointed to the organizing thing here. In the original plan, I should have a opening of the Light Festival in the old town of Tallinn last Friday. The opening should happen at 18.00 near Harju Street. It's called Valgus Festival in local language here. There were several light sculptures from art students and artists who are from different countries. I took a place of them. Unfortunately, around 18.00, some works didn't finish setting work. And suddenly, the electric turned off. In our area, none of our works had light. And the bad weather also was continuing. Raining, snowing, winding.... And, nervous artists and students tried to find the manager who responds the festival. But, they just cared to offering the hot tee for the people and waited for the "BIG" dinner after the opening. How fantastic thinking they had! Where is the light sculptures? How could we say to the audience,"That is a light festival. (without light)"? That was the service of organization after having got the permission from City Government?

Well, I do don't appreciate the organizing thing here any more. During my experiences here, I met such mistakes or accidents more than 3 times. I do don't know how will be going here in the future. Hope that the related departments can pay more attention on such works.

Fortunately, I took some photos of my light work when we prepared for the exhibition. But, It's not so perfect. Because that the photos is a bit far from the idea without the participants in the work besides me and my partner.

La Storia Della Kiwi

Ci sono tre uccelli nel cielo blu. Stanno volando dal sud al nord. Desiderano viaggiare intorno al mondo. Loro sono un tern, un gufo e una kiwi.

Un giorno, stanno volando oltre una foresta. Il tern dice:"La nebbia della foresta è troppo pesante. Non posso guardare il cielo. Non mi piace questa nebbia. Devo atraversare questa foresta. Ma le mie ali non sono abbastanza forti. Sono triste a questo proposito." La kiwi lo sente e dice: "Hi, caro mio amico, non essere triste. Ti dò una mia ala. Così, volerai veloce. Verremo a contatto nell'altro lato della foresta e mi darai la mia ala." Poi il tern vola veloce nella foresta con l'ala del kiwi. E lui è attratto dalle buone viste. Vola diritto al nord.

Il giorno seguente, la kiwi ed il gufo arrivano all'altro lato della foresta. Ma, non trovano il tern. La kiwi spera che il tern arrivi. Poi la kiwi ed il gufo continuano a volare. Nella sera, la nerezza coinvolge la valle. C'è pure vento. Il gufo è stremato. Lui dice:"sento freddo. Devo dormire." La kiwi lo sente e dice:"No. Caro mio amico. Non dormire. Morirai se dormi. Puoi prendere la mia ala per ripararti. Quando il vento smetterà, mi darai la mia ala." La mattina del giorno segente, il gufo guarda la grande montagna piena di colori. Dice:"Bellissimo! Mi piace qui." Poi vola nella montagna e dimentica la kiwi.

La kiwi non ha le sue ali.È triste. Deve stare nella valle. Lei guarda il cielo blu. Giorno dopo giorno dopo giorno... Lei aspetta...
